Little Free Libraries

2019 Winter Workshop

Continuing the woodworking theme, in the winter workshop we built little free libraries.  Each student built a library based on a basic plan and customized their own knobs, latches, roof, and decorations. We applied our woodworking skills in sawing, hammering, and drilling, and add new skills by including hinges, doors, and making a waterproof roof.  The libraries are fun to build and a great way to bring books into people’s lives.
